The high-definition 2D fighting game now comes to the Playstation Portable. BlazBlue is a 2D one-on-one fighting game by ARC System Works (the makers of Guilty Gear.) Produced by Guilty Gear producer Toshimichi Mori, the game features an all-original cast (including many weapon fighters) and uses a four-button control scheme (weak, medium and strong attacks plus an EX button which makes your character perform unique special attacks.) The fighting system is based around players being able to continue combos when opponents are in a down state. On the defensive side, you'll have a number of ways of getting back up when downed, so you don't get pummeled by combo attacks.

Monster Madness: Battle for Suburbia is a video game for the Xbox 360 and Windows. Developers
Artificial Studios and Immersion Games say that players are able to combine objects found around the town to create bigger and better weapons with which to destroy the monster menace. The game includes five environments and hundreds of enemies. Four player cooperative play is available as well. It is evidently influenced by, and commonly referenced to, the LucasArts' cult classic Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis game, Zombies Ate My Neighbors.

Brilliant masterpiece, have done a lot of noise in the PlayStation Network, now get to PSP. The essence of game has not changed: the player must rescue a princess trapped in an enemy prison. The problem lies in the fact that the enemy has fattened girl fairy cakes, that she was getting thicker. And the heavier the princess, the harder it back home! A well coordinated teamwork an essential condition of victory in Fat Princess: Fistful of Cake.

Alien Shooter Vengeance falls somewhere between the two. Employing a 3/4 camera perspective (Diablo-style), players are thrust into the role of a mercenary, selling skills, guile, and brute force to the M.A.G.M.A. Corporation - which for some reason has experienced "drastic personnel changes of late". This is an alien shooter, after all, so one could imagine that just like in the movies, the aliens tend to slightly outnumber the good guys. The developers at Sigma did a fairly good job at creating an action-RPG where players blast away mercilessly upon a virtual never-ending sea of alien critters. While suffering from numerous minor flaws, the game still has an inherent classic, throw-back charm that insidiously beckons for the player to keep playing again and again. Is it point and click action 99% of the time? Sure. But it is wickedly addictive and fun - for a while.
